Recognising Technology skills are essentials for a girl child

We are a community based organization in Mombasa Kenya, registered by the Ministry of Culture and Social Services in 2015.We are driven by passion to inspire the next generation of girls in Mombasa to venture in STEM Career by involving girls at high schools level and University Students within Mombasa through Technology and STEM programs  and workshops to empower the girls to innovate with STEM

On 25th and 26th of March 2016 we were graced by a visit from a Film Making Industry based In Germany which was sent by a GIZ organization In Germany that started an initiative #eSkills4Girls to contribute to improved digital skills and employment perspective for girls and women in the ICT sector.The GIZ organization was featuring leaders of various girls organisations supporting ICT skills for girls and Women. Ruth Kaveke of Pwani Teknowgalz was was featured in this initiative.The project aimed at understanding the challenges and opportunities for women in the ICT sector.

What we do

Technovation Program

Technovation challenges girls all over the world to build a mobile app that will address a community problem.

STEM program

We engage high school girls in STEM projects to inspire them to venture to STEM field, a field that not well represented by females.

Technology Meetups

We organize technology meetups where we meet and teach ladies how to code and develop websites.

Teach girls/ladies coding

We teach girls and ladies web programming to reduce women in Technology gap and inspire them to take part in Technology innovation.

Girls high School Reachout

We do school outreach to high school girls within Mombasa to inspire and educate them on careers in Technology.

Technology Mentorship

We offer mentorship to girls/Ladies interested in Technology and needs a mentor to guide them.
