Empowering Future Generations
In the ever-evolving landscape of the digital economy, opportunities abound for those equipped with the right skills and knowledge. However, for many young women in Kenya, accessing these opportunities and building successful careers can be challenging.
The AjiraForShe Internship, a collaborative effort by Pwani Teknowgalz and eMobilis, aims to boost the empowerment of women who have completed Pwani Teknowgalz’s Program. The Internship exposes the women to the online digital work force. Not only do they learn on how to navigate the Ajira Digital platform to get gigs but also other online job platforms such as Upwork,Freelancer,LinkedIn and others. This initiative provides hands-on experience in online employment, ensuring a consistent learning experience for a period of three months. Additionally, the program seeks to build confidence in these women, inspiring them to embrace gig work with certainty.
