In Afrika, the numbers are even more dismal with the greatest imbalance in engineering courses .With this rising gender gap of women in STEM , Techwomen kenya 2014 Alumnae and Pwaniteknowgalz with the approval of the Mombasa County Education office yet again implemented Mombasa girls in STEM a project that seeks to increase the number of professional females in the STEM industry . Saturday January 16th 2016 saw the winning Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund project by TechWomen 2014 ‘Mombasa Girls in STEM Solve IT’ kick off the much anticipated Training of Trainer (ToT) sessions in Kizingo, Mombasa.
