SOFTWARE AND WEB SECURITY TRAINING
The Second ToT training for the Mombasa Girls in STEM project was held Kizingo,Mombasa on Saturday Jan 30 2016.The training was about software and web security trainings.
The morning session was facilitated by our very own Joan Nabusoba and Ruth Kaveke from Pwani Teknowgalz.Joan started with the introduction to programing.The TOTs were introduced to the basic concepts of programming session.Joan explained the different syntax used in programming languages and areas of applications.The TOTs were had a practical session of creating a simple a web page.
Ruth Kaveke took over to introduced the TOTs to basics components of MIT app Inventor a software that was going to training the high school girls to develop mobile apps to solve their communities problem.The TOTs had a practical session where they design the user interfaces of mobile applications using the components learnt from the introduction to MIT App Inventor
In the mid-morning sessions, Ada From Techwomen Kenya facilitated security.The TOTs were taken through information security in police investigation a field area she is working.
Britone Mwasaru web developer at Dafulab Facilitated web mobile and security and web applications development security, How to protect yourself from both mobile and web attacks.He explained to TOTs careers in web security.
The Afternoon Session was Facilitated by Joan Nabusoba.She trained the on games and backed connectivity to the User Interface Design a continuous of morning session.
