STEM cafe Kenya is a program sponsored by the U.S Embassy  Nairobi to increase the interest of young women in STEM by imparting them with hand on skills on different aspects of STEM and  digital skills.The program aims at equipping 135 young women in Mombasa, Nakuru, Nairobi Kisumu and Lamu with employable practicals STEM skills and knowledge that they can use to venture into STEM careers where women are under-represented. The program also aims at bringing professionals women in STEM at American space to share their experience and provide a networking platform for the ladies to interact and have female mentors guide towards their STEM journey, this is to increase the number of women in STEM career a field where women are under- represented globally plus ensure the women remain in STEM.The program is implemented by Pwani Teknowgalz in partnership with TechWomen Kenya 2014 Alumnae.
The project aims at equipping girls and women with Website development skills, SDG, Digital skills, Data Collection techniques(GIS).
