EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH ECOPRENUERSHIP

NextGen TechCamp Nairobi aimed at strengthening  civil society and increasing economic empowerment, inclusion, innovation and prosperity among women by bringing together local, international, and American experts and trainers to help participants develop new models of ecopreneurship – sustainable entrepreneurship that is committed to environmental protection and conservation.

NextGen TechCamp Nairobi was a highly collaborative, hands-on event composed of brainstorming sessions, small group discussions, and training workshops that resulted in innovative solutions to real challenges the women face in their work. Expert trainers and mentors worked with the participants to develop a project idea to be implemented after the TechCamp using effective technological tools and concepts.

Small grant funding opportunities was made available to eight team who developed innovation solutions in entrepreneurship

The ultimate goal of the TechCamp was to enable participants to build lasting relationships with trainers and other participants to help them in their endeavors after TechCamp

Participants:  47 women in STEM from TechWomen, TechGirls, Academy of Women Entrepreneurs and Mandela Washington Fellows.
