
Building, Leading and Empowering Through Technology- Trizah Ominah
When Trizah Ominah first joined Pwani Teknowgalz, she had a curiosity for technology but little idea how far it would take her. Today, she stands as a shining example of how young women in tech are shaping Kenya’s future blending innovation, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Finding Her Tech Path at Pwani Teknowgalz
Trizah’s journey began when she enrolled in the CodeHack Women in Tech Accelerator Program at Pwani Teknowgalz. Through this intensive training, she mastered essential skills in web design, front-end development, and digital marketing, setting the foundation for her career in tech.Her determination to grow didn’t stop there. She later joined the Digital Marketing and E-commerce program, where she deepened her expertise in SEO, social media strategy, and graphic design. By the end of her training, she had built a personal portfolio and designed a mockup website for an NGO projects that helped her secure her first freelance clients.
“Pwani Teknowgalz gave me more than technical skills; it gave me confidence to pursue my ideas and turn them into something impactful, “Tech has given me the power to create solutions that matter. I want more girls to see themselves in this space and build something meaningful,” she says.
ShujaaCare — Tech for Social Good
It was during a hackathon organized by Pwani Teknowgalz that Trizah co-created ShujaaCare, a digital health platform aimed at increasing access to reproductive and mental health information for young people. The platform was developed under the SheCodeHerCare initiative, where women technologists came together to design digital solutions addressing real community challenges.
ShujaaCare has since gained recognition for its innovative approach, highlighting how technology can bridge gaps in healthcare access and awareness. Through the project, Trizah discovered her passion for tech for social impact, combining her love for coding with a desire to create change.
Empowering Brands Through G Brand 254 Agency
Building on her newfound confidence and experience, Trizah launched her own creative venture G Brand 254 Agency, a digital agency that helps small businesses establish strong online presences through branding, social media marketing, and web development.
Her work at G Brand 254 has not onlyllowed her to support local entrepreneurs but also inspired other young women to explore opportunities in the digital economy. She also interned under the Ajira Digital Program, applying her digital skills to real-world projects and expanding her professional network.
Leading by Example
Beyond business and tech, Trizah remains a strong advocate for women in technology. She actively supports Pwani Teknowgalz initiatives by mentoring other girls and sharing her journey encouraging them to believe that with the right skills, opportunities, and mindset, anything is possible. Her story reflects the very essence of Pwani Teknowgalz’s 10 years of impact empowering women to turn curiosity into competence, and competence into community-driven innovation.
